Protests in Greece have cheapened vacations

Greece holiday packages can be purchased now at prices up to 20% lower than those set before, say tour operators. And this is all caused by the protests which took place in Athens in the recent months.

The fear of tax collection measures they expected the led to increases in accommodation prices by the Greek hotel managers 5 to 10%.

Deepening economic crisis and protests which escalated Greece last week facilitated travel agencies  to renegociate accomodation facilities contracts.

Where ever prices have remained the same, the services were very much improved - for example, for the same money hotel managers no longer offer only breakfast.
