Anderson inspires for England
An inspiring performance by the English fast bowler James Anderson put England in control against Pakistan at Trent Bridge. He chose to celebrate his 28th birthday with a five-wicket haul for 49 runs. Earlier he had got out for a golden duck as England collapsed from 337 for four to 354 all out.
Personally for him this outstanding performance came at a handy time, his standing as England’s number one pace bowler is under threat from several quarters.
Over the last couple of years England team has been served by a lot of pacers with none being able to consolidate their position in the team. This performance of Anderson will surely help his cause to be the one bowler that England will depend on in the years to come
