5.5 million € state debts
The Greek Secretary of the Tourism ministry in Athens resigned yesterday, reports AP.
The Greek Secretary of the Tourism ministry in Athens resigned after the press found out that her husband had a debt of five million euros to tax authorities
The reason was that the official’s husband a former actor and performer had huge debts to the IRS
Representatives of the Greek government announced that Gerekou Angela, aged 51 years, a former actress as well, had resigned just hours after the news of her husband’s debts revealed.
Angela Gerekou gives assurances that she has nothing to do with her business partner, Tolis Voskopoulos.
The man has 5.5 million euro tax to pay to the state budget, an issue that can not be dropped in a worse moment than that of this unprecedented crisis in Greece.
