Eating nuts can lower cholesterol‎

An analysis of 25 studies involving about 600 people showed that the average daily consumption of 67 grams of nuts can reduce cholesterol by up to 7.4%.

All study participants ate each for three to eight weeks,67 grams of nuts. Finally, scientists have found that besides improving cholesterol,  walnuts decreased the number of triglycerides  , those deemed responsible for the appearance of fat cardiovascular diseases.

Despite the optimistic results, specilists say that the effects are less visible in overweight persons.

“Effects of walnut consumption are influenced by quantity, notby the way in which they are prepared,” says Joan Sabbath, quoted by the BBC.

“Except for the  salted ones, offeresd to clients  beside beer, peanuts and walnuts are all good for the organism,” she said.
