Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao enters Philippine political ring
Boxer Manny Pacquiao was elected Member of Parliament, according to the preliminary results of the elections held in the Philippines.
80 percent of the votes have been counted, Manny Pacquiao, 31, won twice more votes than his opponent. This is the second time that Manny Pacquiao is running for a seat inthe Congress.
Manny Pacquiao is a true idol in the Philippines. After the confrontation with the American Floyd Mayweather was canceled, Manny Pacquiao announced that he wants to retire from boxing.
The promoter Bob Arum hopes to persuade Pacquaio to reconsider his position and accept a fight with Floyd Mayweather.
