Arizona election results 2010: John McCain – Arizona Primary

Arizona Election Results 2010

Seeking for a fifth term, Republican senator John McCain has won the primary in 2010 Arizona Election.

Mr. McCain has reportedly spent more than $20 million in his race against J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman from Arizona.

With about half the vote counted, McCain had more than 58 percent of the vote, compared to 30 percent for Hayworth and 11.5 percent for a third candidate, Jim Deakin.

In the Democratic primary, a very interesting race is developing between the favorite, mayor Rodney Glassman and ex-state Rep. Cathy Eden.

Democrats haven’t won a Senate race here since 1988.
