Pakistan Vs England 2nd test, day 4 highlights
England have romped home to a thumping 9 wicket win the second of four tests against Pakistan at Lords. The English bowlers were the stars of the match, with Graham Swann picking up 6 wickets in the second innings.
Chasing just 118 for victory, England made a horrid start, losing Cook with just 10 on the board. However Captain Andrew Strauss took charge, leading the way with 53 runs. He also found support from Jonathan Trott, who scored 53 and shared a 111 run partnership with Strauss.
Earlier Pakistan managed to add only five runs to their overnight total of 291. Mohammad Asif was the last man out, accounted for by Stuart Broad in the second over of the day.
The loss sums up a woeful performance from Pakistan, who were bowled out for 72 in the first innings. Their middle order has failed miserably in the tests against England and Australia. Debutant wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider was the only one of the top seven to get past 50 in this match.
England now hold a 2-0 lead heading into the third test on the 18th of August. Mohammad Yusuf is expected to return to boost Pakistans batting, while fast bowler Umar Gul is out of the remaining test matches due to injury.
