Two days after the tragic assault, Taye hung himself from his bunk and died.
Carson Elementary School assistant principal Jeff McKenzie reportedly found Gabe unconscious in the bathroom and took him to the school nurse.
"If the school had told mom that your son was assaulted, your son had lost consciousness for over seven minutes, she would have immediately taken him to the hospital and had him examined", Branch said.
"Though the connection between this incident at school and Gabriel's suicide are not clear, the district shared this video with police investigators at the time of the incident", the school district said in its statement Thursday.
When Cornelia Reynolds asked her son what was wrong and what happened at school he said he didn't know.
"He really didn't have any recollection of what had happened", said attorney Jennifer Branch, who also is representing Reynolds.
"I just feel like enough is not being done, and I feel like stuff is being swept under the rug", Reynolds told local news WLTV.
CPS said it probably will release the video Friday after faces are blurred.
The 750-student school failed to disclose to Gabriel's mother the events that occurred that day, preventing her from her parental duty of adequately adhering to her child's state.
"I witnessed behavior that in my belief is bullying and could even rise to the level of criminal assault", if not for their ages, a police detective said, according to that report.

Another demonstrator outside the school said her 9-year-old daughter was jumped by other girls on a school bus and had marks and bruises on her face.
